Persons wishing to maintain their health by limiting the minimum intake of medicines.
There is no specialty osteopathy, at most stages of development.
However, it is important to note that the diagnosis of exclusion, established in early consultation, is a tool, as a first step the reorientation of the patient to another healthcare professional.
Process
The consultation begins with an interview and a thorough examination of balance sheets provided radiological and biological. A diagnostic exclusion is then asked to determine a possible transfer to another health practitioner (physnician, podiatsrist, psychologist, etc. ,...).
With our specific manual tests, we seek areas of the body with mobility restrictions that may affect health status.
All these tests can pose a Specific Osteopathic diagnosis(SOD).
We will seek, find and harmonise all structures disturbed in their mobility.
The Osteopathic gesture is mild, painless and uses mobility of each tissue.
We always choose the most confortable and appropriate technic for each patient, depending on their age, state of health of the region to treat and morphology of the patient.
A wide range of techniques are at our disposal to achieve this goal.
Functional technics : soft technics in line with the relaxation of tissues in the region to deal with. It apply in all cases.
Structural technics : technics with low amplitude and high velocity respecting the patient's physiological limitations. It can not be practised in babies and in patients with indications against absolute (systemic diseases, frailties local, surgical, etc. ...)
Muscular technics : technical positioning using the "contract-release". They require the active participation of the patient and are instead given in the acute phases. They are open to all patients.
Duration of a meeting and treatment
The duration of treatment is appropriate to the health of the patient, the reasons for consultation and developments during the osteopathic care.
On average session lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour.
The treatment time may vary from two to five sessions depending on the elements listed above.
